This old man was with his gandson at my local EB games, and I overheard the kid ask his grandpa for a game, and the kid picked GTA off the shelf (the kid barely looked like he was older than 8). The guy went to the counter with the game and tried to buy it, but the employee informed the guy that GTA was rated "Mature" for sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, ect. The old man then looked at the eb employee stunned, and said "WHAT? Sex and drugs!? What the hell kind of game is this!?" (this is where I began to laugh a little inside).

Then the old man looked at his grandson and said "So, you think your a smart guy, eh? Trying to trick me into buying you your sex and drugs, huh?" (this is when I almost couldnt hold in my laughter anymore). Then the guy picked up a random game off the shelf, (which turned out to be a spongebob game lolol), and he bought that game for his grandson instead hahah.

The whole time after that the kid was crying, tears and snot all over the place, screaming "But I dont want that game grandpa, I dont even have that system". The guy just said "oh well, thats what you get!" Then they left and I was finally able to start lmao.

LOL, Poor kid. I would cry too if I had to play a Spongebob Squarepants game. Really his Grandpa sounds a bit senial if you ask me.

I actually think that it's a very wise move. I don't agree with kids playing violent games (especially 8) and I surely agree with the fact that parents or family member should not buy it for them. I say nice move :D

That's hysterical! Serves that kid right. I wish parents were more informed about what their kids are playing. I used to work in a video game store and ran into stuff like that all the time.

That's fabulous! Kids definetly need to play more age-appropriate games, if you ask me.

I agree but i thing things like GTA are suitable for modern day 14+ the rating is a good idea but kids like all the gory games and shoot-em ups.
