Xbox 360 or PS3?

Other then the Wii, whats your favourite next generation console? Mine is the 360, I have one and I pretty much love it :).

Xbox 360 is on my list :) the PS3 at the price of £548.99 is a rip off. Plus i think its time i gave Microsoft a try the Playstation generation is dead practically. Move over Sony here come Microsoft :p

The hardcore fans won't buy it, because Sony are evil. However, the casual fans and kids will get their parents to buy it when it goes down in price. The hardcore fans make up a very small percentage of gamers nowadays so what they think doesn't really matter as much. The PlayStation brand is still as popular as ever. Sony have played on this tactic well by releasing very few PS3's for launch. This makes it look like people want it when it runs out. The games will be what bring people to the PS3. Even though everyone likes to think that Nintendo holds all the golden gaming franchises, people have different tastes, and Sony cater for them well.

Microsoft are catching up very well, even though they're getting murdered in Asia. The Xbox 360 won't make a dent in Asia, but it will put them in an amazing position to pressure Japan and the rest with the successor. Microsoft really cater well for the techies and western crowd.

To answer the question, it will most likely be the same old. PS3 taking gold, Xbox 360 very close behind, and the Wii getting hammered, but being justified as a great console because Nintendo made profit and the Japanese love it.

I like the Xbox 360 and think many will buy this over the ps3 after GTA fans will be looking forward to the new release which has been licensed to xbox that will be one of many reasons. The release of games has also been steady for the 360 and i think it has proved more popular for multi-player gaming.

I don't have either. But if I was buying, i'd go for the xbox. I don't have high expectation for the ps3, to be honest.
