Who do you think won the battle of E3 2006? I believe that Nintendo did, with Microsoft coming second and Sony coming third.
Nintendo basically showed everything good, showing a good range of games and showing some top titles making everyone sit up and take notice, Microsoft did what you would do at the first E3 since release and they did it perfectly, they brought out the big guns (GTA, Halo 3, Gears of war) and Sony? They basically let all the excitement from last year just drain away with a below average performance.
What do you think?

I think this explains it all.
IMO, Nintendo drew with Microsoft. Whilst the Wii showed off some great stuff, MS just didn't disappoint.

I almost feel sorry for the people in that video. It's like the 'Running of the Nerds' or something. I just love the fact that no one goes to the Sony side (the left) and the executive guy at the Sony box getting annoyed.
To be perfectly honest, I really didn't believe Sony would pull out such a crap E3 showing without good reason. The second it was over I kept saying "This must be part of their plan. I bet they're going to steal the thunder after E3 when they have a clear shot!"
Obviously, that moment never came.
As far as my feelings towards Sony go after that terrible showing goes, they're either:
1) Geniuses, because they understand that they own the market and casual gamers are the new driving force behind gaming.
2) Fools, because they chucked away their lead to MS.
3) Martyrs, because they surrendered their iron grip on gaming for Nintendo, which anyone would admit, would be a better driving force behind gaming along with MS.

I think the video of the ps3 showed with almost lifelike graphics was good. But the nintendo came out on top. Now i feel the nintendo may take a back seat(hope not though) but i feel the 360 will become the more dominant console.

Thats my guess, Sony haven't really ever being that smart (IE Overhyping the PS2 and the PS3 soo much and then boom dissapointment) They are failing in everyother department and I see the PS3 being the same.

I am not getting PS3 because of its price and features. I'm not really looking to get a Blu-Ray drive that may not even be complete bu the time of release. If the price was $400 though, I would've bought it. $700 Canadian is just too much for me though.

There's only one reason I'd get the PS3. The games.
That's all I need to say on the subject.
