Is it worth it?

I'm considering getting a DS but I'm wondering - is it worth? What kind of people would benefit from it the most?

What I like about the DS is that it caters for most gamers.

The only type I'd say to go against the DS is the casual gamer. If you want your high graphical NFL/FIFA/Whatever games, then go for that. To be honest, now there's really only one choice. The PSP is about to pretty much die out, so I'd go with a DS if you wanted a handheld console.

If you want more from your handheld, get a PDA or a Laptop.

I think it is worth it the games have gone cheaper, easier to take around places and chat throughout the class room :P lol

It's definitley worth it in my opinion, it is the only console that can give you the experience that it does.

I looooooove my DS. It's lightweight and durable, great graphics, innovative gameplay, awesome wi-fi online play. I just dig it. I like playing Animal Crossing and games like that on it. Even though I am primarily and RPG-er, I get tons of satisfaction from my DS.
