What is the youngest age your son/daughter, niece/nephew etc. would have to be before you consider buying him/her a ds lite? for his/her birthday, christmas or another special occasion.

I'd say 9.

I started playing games when I was 3-4. It didn't do me any harm, as long as it's well controlled.

The problem to be honest is portability. You don't want a young child out with a valuable item when crime is rampant wherever you are.

But yeah, get him a few good games and Brain Age just to be safe and he should be set. Control how long he/she spends on it a day and everyone's happy.

I'm with you, Matt. I'd say 9. But it'd have to be a MATURE 9. I'm not going to give a kid a gift like that just to have it lost or broken.
